2nd Shift Security Guard


Measurement Incorporated is seeking a 2nd Shift Security Guard that will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, clients, and tenants by patrolling and monitoring our premises and personnel. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
  • Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure ways of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises
  • Escorting personnel and driving motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified off campus locations or to provide personal protection
  • Answering telephone calls, ensuring messages are relayed to appropriate personnel, answering questions, and providing information as needed
  • Calling police, fire departments, or other emergency responders in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Warning persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehending or evicting violators
  • Answering alarms and investigating disturbances
  • Inspecting and adjusting controls that regulate building systems
  • Circulating among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property


The Security Guard must have the following to qualify:

  • Must have a valid NC driver’s license
  • Must be able to be objective, dependable, professional, and have emotional control in high pressure circumstances
  • Security guard must be able to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal work instructions, and be able to communicate professionally
  • Must be able to perform general physical activities that require lifting, walking, and handling materials, and be able to move and lift objects up to 30 pounds consistently and regularly
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • This is a full time position (M-F, 3:30 pm – 11:00 pm)
