Marketing Manager – Software Products

Areas of Responsibility

  • Supervises and directs all client-facing software product marketing, sales, and service
  • Assist in developing new software and develop a go-to-market plan
  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing strategy to attract new customers through marketing campaigns
  • Direct the development team and collaborate with internal teams to set product priorities for enhancements and version releases
  • Supervise the sales team and develop an efficient sales strategy across the suite of products
  • Manage outside sales representatives and track their activity
  • Supervise the client success team in providing customers with post-sales service and program usage reports to ensure a positive client experience and generating a high renewal rate
  • Supervise the content team in the development of lead-generating content across the product suite, including social media, email campaigns, white papers, blog posts, and ad copy (digital and print) that appeals to and influences decision-makers
  • Measure and report the success of the marketing plan by tracking appropriate metrics
  • Attend educational conferences, sales presentations, and client meetings
  • Provide documentation to clients announcing product updates, best practices, and program enhancements
  • Report accurate sales projections, trial enrollments, and account activities to management
  • Pursue mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance the software offerings

Desired Experience and Skills

  • 3-5 years in SAS and/or education marketing
  • Experience in education is highly desired
  • Strong communication, sales, presentation, and management skills
  • Goal-oriented, flexible, and creative under pressure
  • Knowledge of current marketing trends and multimedia platforms
  • Proven leadership experience
